Day-4:              Early morning, transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.

Pangong Lake  Option on  Day-3:

                           After early breakfast (6 AM) leave for Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip) via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). Pangong Lake (alt: 14,500 ft.) is 4-5 kms wide and over 135 kms long. About two-third of the lake lies on the other side of the Indo-China Border. After sightseeing and lunch at the lakeside, drive back to Leh, reaching in the evening. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day-4:            Leave Tangtse after breakfast and drive back towards Leh, crossing Chang-la Pass enroute. At Karu, turn on the road to Hemis across the Indus and visit Hemis Monastery, the biggest and most famous monastery of Ladakh. After the visit, return to the highway and drive back to Leh, enroute visiting Thiksey monastery. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Leh - Indus Valley - Nubra Valley -Pangong Lake

Day-3:             After early breakfast, leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft / highest motorable pass in the world). After descending into the valley, drive across the Shayok River and on to Tegar / Tirit to check into deluxe camp.  Post lunch, sightseeing tour of the valley including Samstaling monastery. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day- 4:             In the morning, drive to Deskit (headquarters of Nubra). After sightseeing of Deskit monastery and Hundar village, drive back to Leh, reaching in the late afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & overnight at the hotel

Note: You can also take a Bactrian camel safari through the sand dunes between Hundar and Deskit at extra charges.

Option:  On this day, you can opt for a rafting trip on the Indus between Phey and Nimu on extra charges.

Day 3:              Early departure for Lamayuru monastery (127 kms.), which is believed to be the oldest religious site of Ladakh where a monastery was founded. It is famous for the spectacular setting amidst the 'Moonland' features. After sightseeing and lunch at Lamayuru, drive back on the Leh road upto Uleytokpo to check-in at a deluxe Camp here, or drive further up the valley and cross over to Alchi for overnight stay in hotel. 

Day-4:              After breakfast, visit the 11th century Alchi monastery, the oldest surviving monastic complex of Ladakh and famous for its paintings and architecture. Thereafter drive back to Leh, enroute visiting the 15th century Likir monastery, Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Hall of Fame. Reach Leh in the late afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day -06:           Leh- Alchi- Uletokpo (80 kms.): After breakfast proceed to visit sites on the Likir- Alchi circuit, enroute visiting  Gurudwara Pathar Sahi, Magnetic Point and the 15th century Likir monastery. Thereafter proceed to visit the 11th century Alchi monastery, the oldest surviving monastic complex of the region, very famous for its paintings and architecture. Dinner & overnight at Alchi or drive 10 kms further ahead on the highway to check inot the Uley Ethnic Resort. 

 

Day-07:            Alchi / Ulaytokpo- Lamayuru-Kargil: (150 kms.): After breakfast leave for Kargil, enroute visiting Lamayuru Monastery believed to be the oldest religious site where a monastery was founded. It is also famous for the dramatic setting in the backdrop of the famous Moonland features. After sightseeing & lunch here, drive on to Kargil, At Mulbek you will be able to see the 9 Mtrs. tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya, the Future Buddha, standing on the roadside, dating back to the 7th - 8th century AD. Kargil is just an hour's drive ahead from here. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

 

Day -08:           Kargil-Drass-Sonamarg-Srinagar (205kms): Leave Kargil in the early morning for Srinagar via Darss, Zojila & Sonamarg.  Drass, the last township before Zijila pass, has the local reputation of being the second coldest inhabited place in the world. Here you will be able to view the famous "Tiger Hill" (famous landmark of the Kargil war). As we cross the Zoji-la Pass (11,500-ft. /3,505 m), we pass from the barren contours of trans-Himalayan landscape into the lushness of the Kashmir countryside. From Sonamarg, Srinagar is just 3 hours' driving away.

  • Any tips to drivers, hotel staff, extra transport, apart from the ones mentioned in the tour packages.
  • Any other tax or service charge that could be enforced during this period.

General Terms & Conditions

  • Prices are based on a minimum of 2, 4 or 6 adults traveling in one vehicle.
  • Prices are based on accommodation in standard category rooms at all hotels.
  • 25% advance (Non Refundable) to be deposited at the time of booking of the tour.
  • Balance 75% to be paid before start of the tour / journey.
  • Payment in Leh should be Cash Only.
  • Single supplement is payable extra for single room occupancy.
  • 'Child Rate' applies for children between the ages of 2 & 12 years. Children who are 12 years and above will be treated as adults.
  • These rates shall not apply during any Meetings, Conference, trade fair etc.
  • No Refund on unused service.
  • Any increase in the hotel tariffs, fuel charges or taxes, which may come into effect prior to the departure, will lead to an increase in the Tour price. Any difference in price will be payable by the client.
